Landmark Renovation of The Dorchester

The Dorchester has undergone its most significant transformation since 1989, delivered across three carefully phased packages while the hotel remains fully operational. The programme includes upgrades to public areas, comprehensive guestroom refurbishments, major MEP, fire, and acoustic enhancements, and the creation of a new destination restaurant and bar offering panoramic views across London, alongside the renovation and extension of the iconic Penthouse Suites.

While at ReardonSmith Architects, Jonny Sin served as Project Director for The Dorchester’s transformation from 2019 to 2025, leading the multidisciplinary consultant teams and collaborating with interior designers Pierre-Yves Rochon and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. Within the wider transformation, Jonny led the architectural design of the ninth-floor restaurant and bar and secured planning permission and listed building consent for this Grade II listed landmark.
